Dennison Keller Head Shot 2023

R. Dennison Keller, Jr.

Attorney at Law

Dennison Keller is licensed to practice law in the states of Ohio and Kentucky.  He is a summa cum laude graduate of the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, earning membership in the Order of the Curia.  He is also a cum laude graduate of Miami University in Oxford.

He is the Immediate Past President and serves on the board of the Life Care Planning Law Firm Association.  He also serves on the board, and is the immediate Past President of the Ohio Forum of Estate Planning Attorneys.  Dennison has been accredited by the Veterans Administration, and is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Northern Kentucky Bar Association and the Cincinnati Bar Association where he participates on the Elder Law Committee.  He is also a member of Wealth Counsel and Elder Counsel.

In 2006, the Northern Kentucky Law Review published his article Older, Wiser and More Dispensable: ADEA Options Available Under Smith v. Jackson: Desperate Times Call for Disparate Impact, analyzing and predicting the future age discrimination litigation.

Dennison is a frequent local and national lecturer on the topics of Elder Law, Life Care Planning, Medicaid Planning, Veterans Benefits and Estate Planning.  He also teaches an annual course on Elder Law at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a continuing education program offered in conjunction with the University of Cincinnati.

Mr. Keller is active in the community, serving as a past President of the Board of the Building Blocks for Kids Foundation, and a past Vice President of the Mariemont Kiwanis Club.  He has coached baseball and basketball for various youth leagues including Anderson Township Little League, Upward Basketball, Knothole Baseball and Seven Hills School Baseball.  He also served as a Cantor at St. Vincent Ferrer Parish in Kenwood.

If Dennison looks familiar to you, it could be that you recognize him from WKRC-TV Local 12 where he worked 8 years as a television news journalist and sports anchor.  In fact, it was while covering news stories for Channel 12 that he witnessed not only the callousness of elder abuse, but also the heartbreaking consequences that arise when dementia takes hold of a senior before the family can become equipped to deal with the long term care crisis.  Ultimately, these experiences inspired Dennison to pursue his career in Elder Law.
